Research Team

Multi-disciplinary research efforts and capabilities at Arizona State University (ASU) and the University of Arizona have been harnessed in close collaboration with partners from industry and government to create Az SMART.  These include:

L William Seidman Research Institute: the principal consulting arm of W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU, offering public and private clients of all sizes and industries a range of services including economic impact studies, economic forecasting, market research and strategic analyses of economic development opportunities.

School of Electrical, Computing and Energy Engineering: part of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU offering academic and research programs focused on creating solutions to the grand challenges facing society.

Decision Theater: a world-class research facility and decision lab at ASU that uses state-of-the-art visualization, decision systems science, simulation and solution tools to address today’s challenges and conquer tomorrow’s emerging issues.

Department of Systems & Industrial Engineering: a University of Arizona-based leader of research for systems of strategic importance to the state and nation such as manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation and the environment.
